I-TAP: Independent Training & Apprenticeship Program

Residential Electrical

Independent Training and Apprenticeship Program (I-TAP) is now accepting applications to the Residential Electrician Apprenticeship Program. Our residential program is federally approved by the Department of Labor's Bureau of Apprenticeship and Training.

The residential electrician program is three years long and combines on the job training with classroom instruction. Classroom instruction focuses on theory and code, with a significant emphasis on lab work. The curriculum averages 15-30 hours of lab work per semester.

Students have an opportunity to work on custom homes, track homes, apartments and much more. California Regulations prevent residential wiremen from working on commercial projects.
