26 WEEK TRAINEE PROGRAM
Due to state and federal regulations, it is no longer possible for those interested in the electrical trade to simply get a job as an electrician to see if they enjoy it enough to pursue as a short-term vocation or long-term career choice.
Want to impress your boss? Complete your electrical education before you start work!
At I-Tap, trainees receive the same learning experience and treatment as apprentices. But trainees can receive the complete 5 year apprenticeship education in only 6 months. In just 6 short months, trainees can take the California certification exam and be on their way to working as journeyman electricians.
With your training completed and your certification in hand, your resume will stand out from the crowd of other applicants—You will possess the same theory and code knowledge as a journeyman electrician, and you’ll have the sort of practical, hands-on experience that is highly sought after by contractors and other employers.
The current prevailing wage for certified journeyperson electricians in Sacramento is currently $70.42 per hour, with benefits included. Demand for electricians is on the rise, and wages will be sure to follow.
